AMAN CENTRE PARTICIPATES IN A RATIONALIZATION CARNIVAL AT KAHRAMAA AWARENESS PARK.
The Center for Protection and Social Rehabilitation (AMAN) participated in the National Program for Rationalization through a rationalization carnival at the KAHRAMAA Awareness Park, which this year carried the slogan "A sustainable tomorrow." Aman Center participated in awareness campaigns aimed at providing children with the skills to protect themselves against harassment, In children. As part of the "Do not Touch me" campaign to raise awareness against harassment, which has so far included more than 200 schools with more than 26,000 students. The campaign utilizes a specialized robot that has been developed and programmed to help provide awareness in an engaging and interactive way through interactive live presentations in which the robot speaks to children and responds to them.
This contributes to raising the students' motivation and increase the level of interaction which supports understanding and comprehension of the message.
The campaign targets primary school students and kindergartens. The campaign was launched in 2017 and continues until the end of the 2019 academic year with a plan to proceed with the execution of the campaign annually.
.The plan for the implementation of this campaign is carried out through providing a series of events and activities by qualified Qatari cadres on the mechanisms of dealing with the child and how to convey the message in an easy and simplified way.
also, there is a selection of social specialists specialized in this field in cooperation with specialized educational trainers. The campaign training workshops focus on the practical side, and the use of simplified means to attract child attention and focus on value education.
"The Center is keen to participate in national campaigns such as a rationalization campaign, stressing that awareness is a strategic goal for the Aman center, so the center was keen on participation with "do not touch me campaign is one of the most important campaigns in Aman Center, and every year we are keen to provide a special addition to the child to attract and deliver the awareness messages in an easy and friendly method as it directly addresses the child to be able to protect himself without the help of his parents, and this year we introduced the idea of Robot as a distinctive idea, attractive to the child, to provide the content in a simple way to the child by identifying the right touch and the wrong touch".
Also he added "we are keen on showing animation movies and awareness-raising messages to reduce the risk of harassment against children".
Amna Al-Mahmoud the president of the campaign added that “the concerned team with the implementation of the campaign this year is The campaign is led by specialists from the center with expertise and competencies, especially in the field of education and social service, who relied on practical methods to instill certain concepts in addition to raising their awareness about How to report by using "Help me" application if they are sexually harassed, which enables the child to ask for help when he or she is harmed, or by dialing (919) hotline number which provides advanced services for social protection requests or consultation, legal, psychological and social services"
Mrs. Hanan Al Ali, Head of communication Office, said: "The community partnership constitutes a strategic aim to Aman center. Hence, the center's participation with KAHRAMAA serves the objectives and directions of both sides. and considered an introduction for more cooperation in the future"
also added that the center is keen on establishing an institutional partnership with the various sectors in the country, especially serving the goals of awareness and protection of various groups of society, especially children, and stressed that Aman Center believes in the importance of awareness and community education issues related to children, the Center launched the mobile application "Help me" An electronic application through which the child can seek help when exposed to any harm he may be subjected to. The Center has also launched an initiative for "Aman Watch", which allows the child to be tracked and helps to protect him and facilitates communication with him by telephone. 4000 watch had been distributed free to children and residents in Qatar.
